About
the Museum
The riverfront house was constructed in 1935 by Walter and Bessie
Bellingrath, first bottler's of Coca-Cola for Mobile, Alabama. The
house is furnished as the couple left it with antiques collected
along the Gulf Coast, Europe, New York and Philadelphia. Furniture
styles range from American Classical through Rococo Revival. American,
Georgian and French silver.
Extensive porcelain collection includes Meissen, Sevres, Chelsea,
Bow and
Derby among others. Glassware and extensive collections of china.
