Located in the Bronx High School of Science,The Holocaust Museum & Studies Center was started by Founder/Director Dr. Stuart S. Elenko in 1977 as one of the very first Holocaust Museum/Libraries to open in the United States.

How to get there

By Car
UPTOWN MANHATTAN Via Henry Hudson Parkway Take Henry Hudson Parkway (starts about 72 St.) Northbound. Exit at Mosholu Parkway. Follow Mosholu Parkway about one (1) mile to first traffic light. Turn right here and follow this wide street to another traffic light (Sedgwick Ave.) Turn left at this light, and then immediately right onto Goulden Ave., and continue one long block to the school

MAJOR DEEGAN EXPRESSWAY (Interstate 87) Exit at Van Cortlandt Park South, and proceed to traffic light at end of exit ramp. Turn left at this light (regard- less of which direction you have been traveling on the Deegan) and follow Van Cortlandt Ave. WEST up a hill (2 blocks) to a traffic light at the intersection of Van Cortland Ave. WEST with Sedgwick & Gouverneur Ave. (Bear left) on to Sedgwick Ave. and continue up hill to Goulden Ave. Right on Goulden Ave., and drive one long block to school

QUEENS Via Grand Central Parkway To Triborough Bridge. Bronx spur to Major Deegan Exp. (187). NORTH to Van Cortlandt Park SOUTH exit. Follow directions (2).

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN Brooklyn Bridge to East River Drive (NORTH) to Willis Ave. Bridge to Major Deegan (Northbound) Follow Major Deegan Expressway instructions (2).

By Bus
MANHATTAN via EXPRESS BUS. #4A Liberty Lines Bus. Runs NORTH on Madison Ave. Get off at Paul Ave. Telephone (718) 652-8400 for Bus Schedule.

By subway
MANHATTAN VIA SUBWAY #4 Woodlawn Jerome Ave. Lexington Ave. line to Bedford Park Blvd. Walk one (1) block WEST toward reservoir then one block NORTH. 7. INDEPENDENT SUBWAY "D" Train to Bedford Park Blvd. Walk (3) three blocks WEST, then (1) one block NORTH.

The collection includes original Holocaust documents , diaries, photographs, letters, posters, weapons, books, uniforms, autographs, and Holocaust related artifacts.
