About
the Hall of Fame
A national landmark founded by New York University as a Pantheon
honoring historically significant American men and women. The stewardship
was assumed by Bronx Community College when the property was transferred
to the City University of New York in 1973.
The
granite colonnade houses the 97 bronze portraits bust. It winds
around three neoclassic buildings including the Gould Memorial Library.
The collection
98 bronze portraits busts of distinguished Americans elected to
the Hall of Fame since 1900. Among them are writers, inventors,
astronomers, artists, Presidents etc... |
