The museum is situated on the Home's 19-acre campus overlooking the Hudson River and the Palisades. The primary mission of the Museum is to serve as an educational resource about Jewish arts, culture and lifestyle through its permanent and changing exhibits.

Information
How to get there
Major Deegan North to Van Cortlandt Park South exit. From exit turn right, go to Broadway, turn right (under "el") and go to West 261st St. Left onto 261st. Continue straight past Riverdale Ave. At end of 261st, turn left and take first right into Hebrew Home for the Aged.
Bus drivers are advised to ask the guard where to unload and park the bus. The Museum lot has narrow lanes and may be crowded. Time: 20 minutes north of the George Washington Bridge.

Activities

The Museum features regularly changing exhibition.
Structured tours and workshops are designed by the Museum’s educational staff for visitors of all ages and backgrounds.

550-vol. related to Jewish history, art and culture including Hebraica and manuscripts.

About the Museum
The Museum is situated on the Home's 19-acre campus overlooking the Hudson River and the Palisades, opened in 1982 with the installation of the Ralph and Leuba Baum Collection.
The Collection
The collection includes over 800 objects — mostly silver ceremonial pieces, works in gold, brass, pewter, ivory, rare embedded textiles, books and wood artifacts.
