About the Museum
The Greensboro Historical Museum presents American history from the perspective of Piedmont North Carolina.

The Collections
Twelve galleries and two restored houses feature events, people, and issues including the 1960 Greensboro Sit-Ins, First Lady Dolley Madison, short story author O. Henry, and a world-class collection of Confederate firearms.

Other subjects include furniture and decorative arts, early settlement, transportation, and military history.
